[subm.] group moderatorZ v 1.0.0 : many moderators per group

Post by Ptirhiik »

This mod will allow you to set more than one moderator per group.

The admin creates the group and assign the main moderator (which will be the group owner),

The group owner can then add or remove group moderators to the group he manages, without any need of accessing the admin control panel, and also perform all the standard group moderators task.

The moderators will receive the email send by the pending users, will be able to validate their registering to the group, or remove them from the group or the pending users. They won't be able to modify the group moderators list.

Installation Level : easy
Installation Time : between 5 and 10 minutes

Thanks in advance for your feedback ;)

Thanks ;)

I think you talking about the mass pm mod ? Well, it should be quite easy to make it works, as the base structure of the database is not modified : it's more a way to access the abilities to moderate a group than defining a brand new level. I only add a boolean flag meaning the user is able to perform actions as it was a moderator to a group, so the check to know if the buddy can send a mass pm would be something like "is group owner (actual group moderator) or has the flag moderator of the group".

EDIT: the Problem was related to something different.

Question,

Im running phpNuke 6.5 with the latest phpBB module.
Should I be brave and try it anyway?

Sorry, I don't deal with phpNuke, only with phpBB :) So my answer will be : perhaps, I don't know what phpNuke does to phpBB, neither I know what invisio does to phpBB to ;).

Ill let you guys know soon if my forums dont blow up :P

I have asked the person who created the other mod, and he showed me where i need to alter, we tryed something but it didn't work.

This is what the guy suggested asking you for;
you could ask the other mod author, if he can provide information about a SQL, witch will give a list of "extra group moderators", since my guess did not turn out rigth - after all it is the other mod author, who have desided how extra moderators are added to the group info :D

Thanks,
